Elastic now offer Metrics. Metrics is a powerful tool for both the reps and the dealers, but also for brand admins to understand patterns and behaviors behind the orders. It can be used to view the details and data points. You can access the Metrics from the 'Manage' menu.
Please see below for a video tutorial guide along with frequently asked questions around Metrics.
How often does the data in Metrics refresh?
The Metrics update process runs daily around 11:00 am EST.
What data is included in Metrics?
Data in Metrics only comes from Elastic Orders. No data from external systems will be represented. We only include orders with status of final submission.
What orders can I see?
Metrics for a given Elastic site will only reflect orders for that Elastic site. Dealers will be able to see all orders associated with their dealer account.
I created a new user with an existing account number. How long will it take for data to populate for this user?
Data for new users is synced once per day. The new user should have data showing in Metrics within 24hrs. This process runs daily around 11:00 am EST. Note that dealer users can see all transactions on the account, not just their own transactions.
What is the default date range for Metrics?
Default date range is the current year. This can be changed after Metrics loads to customized date range. This will reset back to the default after user navigates away from the page. Data available for orders submitted in 2023 (Calendar) and on.
Can I customize Metrics for my user?
Not at this time. All users across all Elastic tenants get the same Metrics experience.
Can I change the currency in Metrics?
The Metrics default currency is local for dealers. You can also view the reports in local currency, EUR or CAD. USD, EUR and CAD currency will convert from other currencies based on average exchange rate for the month of when the order was put into Final Submission. If multiple currencies are represented in the report, the Transaction Currency or Target Currency KPI in Metrics will show “multiple”.
What is the difference between Pre-order and Re-order?
If days between order date and ship date is greater than 30 days, then order is classified as pre-order, otherwise re-order.
How does Reporting interact with Multi-Brand configurations?
Reporting currently does not segment based on multi-brand configuration. Dealers will be able to see the brand orders their dealer account is assigned to.
